Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour

The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour offers the only opportunity to tour a commercial jet assembly plant in North America. The center and tour are made possible through the collaboration of the Boeing Company, Future of Flight Foundation, Snohomish County Public Facilities District and the Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field.

Hibulb Cultural Center and Natural History Preserve

23,000 square feet with a 50 acre natural history preserve. The interactive cultural center features a main exhibit, a temporary exhibit, two classrooms, a long house, a research library, and gift shop. The Center is a place of learning and a source of civic pride for the Tulalip people and our neighboring communities. Also features a fully certified collections and archaeological repository. The Hibulb Cultural Center is open to the public.

Flying Heritage Collection

The Flying Heritage Collection facility is located at the southeast corner of Paine Field in Everett, Wash. Set in a 51,000 square foot hangar, FHC is a private collection of great rarity, rather than a formal museum. The aircraft are displayed alongside engaging, comprehensive exhibits. It showcases the spectacular warbirds and technologies from 1935-1945.

Edmonds-South Snohomish County Historical Society Museum
The museum features a fixed collection and rotating exhibits in the historically registered Carnegie Library Building. The museum building has two floors. The upper floor features an exhibit gallery which offers temporary rotating displays, a diorama depicting the 1910 Edmonds town site and waterfront, and the Cook Victorian Parlor. The upper level also houses the administrative office, work rooms, a local history library and an extensive photography archive. The public is encouraged to use the research library, with an advance appointment.

Schack Art Center

Snohomish County is one of the premier recreational locations in the Pacific Northwest.  With the area’s temperate climate, it is the perfect destination for adventures and outdoor activities throughout the year.  Snohomish County is also home to urban and rural walking trails, hiking, biking and snow shoeing. 

Edmonds Marsh

---

Habitat: City-owned marine/estuarine, freshwater wetlands, 23 acres of saltwater marsh.
Birding: More than 200 species sighted here. At marsh, spring and fall migrants are Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Western and Solitary Sandpipers, Long-billed and Short-billed Dowitchers, American and Eurasion Wigeons, and rare Eurasian Green-winged Teal occur in winter. At waterfront, spring brings Rhinoceros Auklets, Heermann's Gulls arive in late summer. Common Terns migrate through in fall, and Ancient Murrelets may appear in Novermber. Fall and winter visitors include Common Murres, Brant, and White-winged Black and Surg Scoters. Year-round look for Marbled Murrelets, Pegion Guillemots, Harlequin Ducks, and Pelagic Cormorants.
Viewing: Best vantage points are marsh boardwalk, and at waterfront, fishing piers, and beach north to ferry terminal.

The majority of Snohomish County is covered by vast tracts of National Forest lands that include protected wilderness areas.  Planning to get outdoors doesn’t take much effort in Snohomish County, with numerous parks throughout the region.
